Boško Ristanović from the village Malešić, in the municipality of Zvornik, is primarily engaged in dairy cow farming. Additionally, he occasionally raises lambs and pigs, and he produces feed for his livestock himself

Livestock farming is a family tradition, as Mr. Boško explains that the Ristanović family has been raising livestock for as long as it has existed. Initially, they focused on fattening bulls, but today, they raise dairy cows.

A few years ago, Mr. Boško worked in Novi Sad but was laid off due to redundancy. That was when he decided to pursue agriculture as his new profession. He invested the severance pay he received from his former employer in purchasing a new tractor, which later significantly streamlined his production cycle.

To expand his business, Mr. Boško needed additional financial resources, which marked the beginning of his collaboration with EKI. Every loan he took out from EKI was used purposefully for purchasing essential and working assets, such as a tiller, seeds, and other agricultural inputs.

In addition to the financial benefits agriculture provides, enabling him to lead a normal life, Mr. Ristanović says he also finds peace of mind on his farm.

Since the passing of his mother, his brother has been his right-hand man, providing invaluable assistance. Although his brother does not live in the same household, he visits daily to help with all the agricultural tasks.

Regarding sales, from the very beginning, Mr. Boško has been supplying milk to a local collection center and is satisfied with the price. Occasionally, the quantity of milk he can deliver is challenging due to various factors, as not all ten cows he owns are always fit for milking.

Overall, Mr. Boško is content with his work and the income it generates. To anyone considering a similar profession, he advises that without immense effort, sacrifices, and persistence, positive results cannot be achieved.
