EKI donation to the Elementary School

We begin the presentation of donations carried out during 2022 within the "Socially Responsible Activities" project by EKI with a story about a school that students living in the Ugljevik municipality have been attending for a long 130 years.

The "Aleksa Šantić" Elementary School consists of a central school and four branch schools, currently attended by approximately 680 students. One of the daily challenges they faced was a lack of equipment for quality physical education classes. The school director informed us that the sports equipment in this school is very old and worn out, and for the safety of the children, most of the equipment is not even used.

Recognizing the opinion that regular physical activity is extremely important for proper body development and preventing health problems, EKI decided to help and donate the equipment they identified as necessary. Sports activities also help young people reduce stress and increase mental fitness, which is crucial for their emotional and mental health, and thus, for a healthy and active future.

As part of the donation, EKI procured soccer balls, basketballs, handballs, and volleyballs, volleyball nets, cones, and skipping ropes for this school. We hope that the students were pleased with the donated equipment and that it will make their lessons more enjoyable, easier, and of higher quality.
